The avionics certificate program is a fast training program for a solid, well-paying career! Our avionics technology program prepares you to work with airplane electronics or in the electronics industry. Cochise College offers the best value in an avionics technology training program for those who are serious about an aviation career. Employment Outlook Air travel remains the fastest and safest means of travel, for lengthy distances today. Airlines, corporate jet owners and private pilots need routine maintenance and modifications to avionic systems and employment prospects are in abundance.

Cost The avionics technology program is conducted in four phases starting in July of each year. The chart below shows the phases, units of credit, and tuition and fees for the program. View Chart All tuition and fees shown are approximate and subject to change according to Governing Board policy, FAA or FCC regulation changes, or student progress. Application must be made to both the college and the Aviation Department. A non-refundable deposit of $90 is required with the Aviation Department application and is applied to program costs after enrollment. The deposit will be refunded if the student is not accepted into the program by the Aviation Department. Students are required to purchase books costing approximately $1500 during the program. FCC/FAA computer knowledge exam fees are additional. Payment of tuition and fees is due at the time of registration.
