Cochise College Adult Education has a variety of programs that are free to all Cochise County residents. Anyone age 16 or older in need of a high school diploma, English proficiency training or other basic education can register for classes, which meet at Cochise College campuses and centers, as well as other convenient locations in the county.
Adult Education has opportunities for students outside of GED preparation and ELA classes.
TREAT
Technology Rich English for Adult Transitions
TREAT is a free English Language Acquisition class offered through Cochise College’s Adult Education Program. Classes are currently available at the college’s campuses in Sierra Vista, Douglas and Willcox.

Laptop computers will be available for student use. Basic knowledge of computers and the Internet will be needed to take this class. Students without computer experience can attend an extra class before orientation to learn the computer basics needed to participate.

Our classes are designed to assist you in meeting your personal, professional and academic goals in the areas of work, family, community involvement and further education. We offer a variety of instructional techniques, including participatory curriculum, project-based approaches, learner-directed techniques, goal setting, technology-based learning and individualized student plans
Registration is held every eight weeks. Sierra Vista and Douglas offer morning and evening classes, while Benson and Willcox offer evening classes. A placement assessment taken at registration will help determine which skills you have and which ones you need. You also have access to the computer labs to supplement your classroom work.
