Cochise women take first, men fifth at Navajo Tech

IMG_4925WINDOW ROCK — The Cochise College women’s rodeo team brought home first place in the Navajo Technical College rodeo over the weekend. The Cochise men finished fifth.

In the Women’s All-Around, Arianna Assini took first place and Georgia Diez was fifth. Assini finished first in goat tying with a time of 17.5, Makayla Boots tied for second and Diez finished sixth. In breakaway roping, Assini took fifth, Katie Adams finished seventh, and Aubrey Smith tied Diez for eighth.

Charlie Kogianes finished second in saddle bronc riding with a score of 133. Bobby Flores took third in Team Roping Heeler.

The Cochise women remain atop of the Grand Canyon Region standings and the men are fifth overall heading into their final scheduled rodeo this season at New Mexico State on April 25-27.
