Cochise women’s rodeo fourth in the nation

1523372_10202705903546531_1136016423_oThe Cochise College women’s rodeo team finished fourth in the nation last week at the annual College National Finals Rodeo, held in Casper, Wyoming.

The Apaches finished with 358 points, behind Central Arizona in first, Chadron State in second and Eastern New Mexico University in third.

Cochise’s Georgia Diez took fourth in the Women’s All-Around with 175 points. She placed third in barrel racing and scored points in goat tying. Makayla Boots took sixth in goat tying and Arianna Assini finished 12th in breakaway roping.

Qualifying for nationals for the Cochise men was Charlie Kogianes, who took seventh in saddle bronc riding.
