The  science lab is located in building 1100 at the Sierra Vista Campus and building 2100 at the Douglas Campus. The lab staff works to ensure all labs are properly set up for various science classes at Sierra Vista, Douglas, Benson and Santa Cruz. Lab staff support the science faculty with detailed lab preparation for classes like Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology, Anatomy & Physiology and Physics. Come by the Student Resource Room if you want to check out bones and models for your Human Anatomy & Physiology class.

Monday – Thursday: 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Friday: 8 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

Work-Study Employment

The science lab has regular opportunities for new hires. The science lab aides are work-study students and must be registered for a minimum of 6 credits. They are responsible for specific lab setups, must complete projects and participate in activities around the lab after appropriate training. Talk to your science instructor for more information if you are interested in being a part of the science lab team. Don’t forget to check with Career Services at the beginning of the semester for possible job openings.

Volunteer Position

Volunteer positions are occasionally offered at the science lab. You must obtain instructor recommendation before applying. This student will have the option to be registered for a Cooperative Education class for 1, 2 or 3 college credits. There are some requirements and restrictions for this position.
