Keeping aircraft in safe flying condition is a very important job. Completing our (FAA approved Part 147) 15-month program qualifies you for testing as an airframe and powerplant mechanic.

Cochise College aviation is well-respected and widely recognized throughout the industry. In more than 35 years of aviation training, we have placed our graduates with all the major commercial airlines, the Federal Aviation Administration, the U.S. Border Patrol and U.S. Customs, air freight services, and corporate aviation companies.

Cochise College is a two-year community college. Our aviation programs are certified by the Federal Aviation Administration and the Federal Communications Commission. In addition, we offer a wide variety of associate's degrees and transfer programs, as well as technical and vocational training. Transfer degrees articulate with Arizona's public universities.

Room, board and an array of student activities are available to students pursuing pilot and aviation maintenance training on the Douglas Campus. Avionics training is offered on the Sierra Vista Campus and can be used in such industries as electronics, manufacturing, public safety, and communications.
