English as a Second Language

Cochise College offers day and evening programs in English as a Second Language. An intensive program is available during the summer. Programs are offered at the Douglas Campus, where many students and employees are bilingual (English and Spanish). The campus includes residence and dining halls, and students have access to college services, such as the library, gymnasium, swimming pool and computer labs.

The ESL program integrates speaking, listening, reading, writing and grammar in four levels, including a bridge semester for advanced students who wish to continue in university-level studies. The evening program emphasizes English communication for professional purposes. The ESL program also offers social and cultural activities and trips to sights of interest. Tutoring and a multimedia language laboratory are available.
