All new students to Cochise College must complete an application for admission. Your status as a student determines the steps you must take to enroll in classes at Cochise College. Review Pre-Requirements
Prior to course start, students must:

•   Take the appropriate placement reading test
•   Obtain a valid healthcare provider CPR Card
    (AHA or American Red Cross with expiration date no sooner
    than six months after end of semester)
•   Take a drug screening (during enrollment)
•   Provide up-to-date immunization records
•   Obtain appropriate uniform (prior to class start date)

Students must be 18 years old prior to completion of course

Take Placement Test
Prior to acceptance, you will need to take a placement test to identify your skill level in reading. Scores are used to decide where you should start; students placed in the proper level courses have a much better chance for success. Testing is free and provided by the testing center.

Apply for Financial Aid
To be considered for federal or state aid programs, you must first complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid(FAFSA) form. The application can be found online at www.fafsa.ed.gov. If this is your first application, request your PIN before submitting your application. Paper applications can also be used and are available in the financial aid office. The financial aid priority application deadline is in April. The Cochise College school code is 001072.

Consult with an Advisor or Counselor
Cochise College advisors and counselors are available to help you develop an educational plan that will assist you in meeting your educational goals. They will help you register for classes online. They also can refer you to college services and assist in developing decision-making skills and personal strengths that will allow you to succeed. Career planning and related testing are also available by appointment.
