Our latest database acquisition, JSTOR, is a high-quality, interdisciplinary archive of scholarly journals. Cochise College students and faculty now have access to the Arts and Sciences 1 & 2 collections which include over 240 core journal titles in economics, history, political science, archeology, sociology, ecology, and mathematics. Free Trial: Newsbank's Arizona Newspapers
The electronic editions of record for valuable local, regional, and national U.S. newspapers--all in one easy-to-search database.  Our free trial includes current and back-issues of the following papers:  Arizona Daily Star, Tucson Citizen, The Explorer, Arizona Republic, East Valley Tribune, Arizona Daily Sun, Arizona Business Gazette, and The Yuma Sun.  On-campus users click here for access.

ProQuest Newspapers Online has expanded!
Cochise College students, faculty, and staff now have access to the full-text, current issues of the Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Seattle, and USA Todaynewspapers as well as access to their backfiles. These join the Christian Science Monitor, LA Times, New York Times, Washington Post and Wall Street Journalwhich are already included in the ProQuest Newspapers Online database. 

New Database: Literature Criticism Online
Literature Criticism Online provides access to the new volumes of five literary series from Gale in a searchable online database:
- Contemporary Literary Criticism
- Twentieth-Century Literary Criticism
- Shakespearean Criticism
- Poetry Criticism
- Short Story Criticism

New Database: CQ Researcher
CQ Researcher offers in-depth, non-biased coverage of today's most important issues. Each weekly issue provides up-to-date information on controversial subjects written by CQ's staff of experienced reporters. Use the standard library login and password for off-campus access.

PsycARTICLES in CSA Illumina
ProQuest no longer houses the PsycARTICLES database, it is now accessible through the CSA Illumina link. The PsycARTICLES database covers general psychology and specialized, basic, applied, clinical and theoretical research. The database contains more than 40,000 articles from 53 journals - 45 published by the American Psychological Association (APA) and 8 from allied organizations. 

Office 2007
All computers at the Sierra Vista and Douglas Campus Libraries now have Microsoft Office 2007.  Be sure to save your files as a "97-2003" document if you need backward compatibility.

New Database--Pro & Con
Check out the latest addition to our growing list of subscription databases, Pro & Con. Explore the issues before Congress, the Supreme Court and other international forums with the online versions of Congressional Digest, Supreme Court Debates, and International Debates. Provides access to more than 800 full-text documents.

Online Library Databases
The Libraries have a number of online databases including Literature Resource Center, LitFINDER, and Opposing Viewpoints Resource Center.  Follow the links on the right to explore these great resources. If you did not receive the passwords for off-campus access, please contact one of the Library staff members.
