Friday, May 16 Commencement Douglas Campus, Library Lawn 7 p.m. Congratulations, Graduates! Our lovely spring ceremony on the library lawn includes performances by the college band and chorus, student speakers, cheering family and friends, and a commencement speech by William C. Harris, president and CEO of Science Foundation Arizona.
Thursday, May 22 Women in Business Conference Sierra Vista Campus 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. The Small Business Development Center presents budget-wise marketing with Cheryl Bakari, government procurement with Tony Isom, health insurance and related perks for business owners with Catherine Salaz, and state contracting with Ralph Gonzales. Wednesday, May 28 Benson Economic Focus Luncheon Cochise College, Benson Center, 1025 State Route 90 11 a.m. - Doors open 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. - Lunch and program Registration: $40/person; $200/table of six; $280/table of eight The program will include a presentation by Martin Roush, city manager for the City of Benson, who will discuss current and upcoming projects within the city. Robert Carreira, director of the CER, will provide a review of the Benson economy over the past year, and the economic outlook for the coming year.
