 CANCELLATION: You must be officially released from the obligations under the Residence and Food Service Contract by the director of Housing and Student Life before vacating the hall or leaving the meal plan. Without official release and proper check out, charges continue and you are obligated to fulfill the terms of the contract.
FORMAL "COMPLETE" CHECKOUT: If you acquire a release from your contract and are vacating your hall assignment, you must check out properly with the hall staff (See section "Checking Out Permanently From Halls"). If your room or common area has not been damaged beyond normal wear and tear, and if you have no outstanding financial obligations to the college, you will receive the $100 ($150 for family housing) deposit minus any amount owed, and less the laundry facility charge. It will be mailed to you within 30 days. |
