Personal Property Insurance: Because the college cannot be responsible for lost, damaged, or stolen items, you are advised to acquire personal property insurance, unless your parents' homeowners' plan provides adequate coverage.

Telephone Service and Usage: Limited telephone service is available in the residence hall rooms at no charge to you. However, the college does not provide telephones. You must bring your own.

You will have access to local calls and may receive incoming calls from off campus, including long-distance, non-collect calls. For long-distance calls, you must call collect, using a calling card or a toll-free number. You will be expected to sign a contract stating you are responsible for any long-distance charges billed to your campus extension. Misuse of the college phone service (e.g. obscene calls) can result in phone service cancellation, disciplinary action, and civil prosecution.
