Traveling to Cochise CollegeYour destination is: Cochise College We are located eight miles west of Douglas in the southeast corner of Arizona near the border with Mexico. We are 11 miles east of Bisbee. The climate is dry and moderately hot, with temperatures ranging from 30 to 60 degrees Fahrenheit in the winter. The closest commercial airport to Cochise College is Tucson International Airport. It is located 125 miles (202 km) from the College. Sky Harbor Airport in Phoenix is 225 miles (360 km) from the College. A travel agent at your point of origin can assist you in making travel arrangements from Tucson or Phoenix. You cannot be admitted into the U.S. more than 30 days before your classes begin. When traveling, do not carry large amounts of cash. You can open a bank account in a nearby town when you arrive and have money wired to the account. Some students pay for their college fees with Visa, MasterCard or Discover credit cards. Arrival in Tucson Tucson Shuttle Douglas Shuttle At the Tucson airport, collect baggage and take a taxi to the Douglas Shuttle office, 3312 S. 6th Ave., Tucson. The price of the taxi to the shuttle office is about $12. The shuttle office will make arrangements to bring you to the College. Shuttle office hours are 7 a.m. – 9 p.m. Please make sure your plane arrives in Tucson before the last shuttle of the day. One-way fare to Douglas is $25.
