Tuition and Fee Waivers
New Mexico Waiver 
The New Mexico Waiver agreement exists between Cochise College and Western New Mexico University. New Mexico residents who attend Cochise College may qualify to be assessed Arizona resident tuition. Likewise, residents attending Western New Mexico University may qualify for New Mexico resident tuition. There is a limited number for each location.
Program Guidelines:
- Legal residency in New Mexico (documentation required).
- Acceptance to Cochise College.
- Full-time student status at Cochise College.
- Annual accumulation of 24 credit hours at a minimum 2.0 cumulative grade point average.
- Tuition waiver granted for a maximum of four semesters at Cochise College.
- Re-application required prior to May 15 for each fall semester.
- Online classes are not included in the tuition discount.

Western Undergraduate Exchange Program
Cochise College is a member of the Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE) program.
Program Guidelines:
- Legal resident of participating state (documentation required): Alaska, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington or Wyoming.
- Tuition for WUE students is 150 percent of institution's in-state resident tuition.
- Acceptance to Cochise College.
- Full-time student status at Cochise College.
- Annual accumulation of 24 credit hours at a minimum 2.0 GPA.

Arizona-Sonora Tuition Waiver
You may be eligible for the Arizona-Sonora waiver if you are a resident of Sonora, Mexico. Qualifying students may pay in-state tuition for a maximum of two years. Golden Apache Tuition Waiver
If you are an Arizona resident who lives in Cochise County or an adjacent unorganized county, and you are 60 years or older, you may apply for a Golden Apache tuition waiver. This waiver allows a 50-percent tuition discount for regular courses. Online courses are not included. You must meet in-state residency requirements for tuition purposes. You will be asked to pay a one-time, nonrefundable $5 application fee, as well as any registration fee, lab fees, AMT tuition, pilot tuition, flight fees, books, co-op and non-credit course fees. Waivers cannot be accepted retroactively. Applications for the waiver may be picked up in the Admissions Office.
