FAQ - Logging In

Question. Do you have instructions for logging into Blackboard and the college's email system?

Answer. Because of the sensitivity of using social security numbers (SSN), Cochise College uses a unique student ID you can use to access various online learning tools.

Blackboard
Your class may be using Blackboard. All online classes and ITV classes use Blackboard; in addition, some traditional classes use Blackboard. If your class is using Blackboard, follow these instructions to access that class:

1. Point your browser to the Blackboard site.
2. Click the Login button and then enter your student ID number for the user name. Your initial password will be your birth date (in mmddyy format).
3. You will see links to your classes on the right side of the screen. There is an email capability inside Blackboard to send mail to your instructor and classmates.
4. Be sure to email your instructor to report that you have successfully logged into Blackboard.

Student Information System (INFOnline)
Use your student ID to access the Student Information System (INFOnline) on the Cochise College website. This site provides schedules, registration, grades and other information. To access the Student Information System:

1. Point your browser to the INFOnline site.
2. Click on Student Information in the menu on the left of the screen.
3. Follow the instructions you find on that page.

Email
Students were issued a new Cochise College email adddress in the summer of 2006. Your email address looks like this: selfg123@cochise.edu. If you do not know your new email address, please contact Elma Mossor at mossore@cochise.edu, telephone (520) 417-4119, or the Online Campus at (520) 515-5375.

You should check this email regularly since the College will use it to send official notices and other important information.

To access your email:

1. Point your browser to "Check My Email."
2. Click on Web Access for Students. Be sure to read the instructions before you click on the link.
