Getting Started

Most information you need can be found at admissions. The biggest piece of advice from parents of current and former students is to start on the next steps early — you never know what deadline might be coming up or might have already passed.

Here’s how the process typically works:

Within each of those steps, there are other considerations for both parents and students.

Paying for College

Tuition and fees vary each school year. Funding your child’s education can be the biggest fear and obstacle for a family. But just a few clicks through the financial aid and scholarships page can help put you at ease. Deadlines are the most important part when dealing with financial aid and scholarships, so pay attention to those. Do a quick estimate on how much a college education will cost.

If your child is taking classes on the Douglas Campus, he or she can experience the traditional college life by living in residence halls. Suites and family apartments are available. And with the Cochise College Combo, full-time students enrolled in a minimum of 16 credit hours can live in a dorm for free! On each of the main campuses, there are also all kinds of activities that provide an outlet for fun and socializing.

There are a variety of resources on campus to help students succeed academically while at Cochise College.
