Join us as we celebrate the induction of Dr. William Harwood, 2nd Cochise College President; Javier “Shorty” Fimbres (’77), 2015 Carol Huddleston Volunteer of the Year; and David LaClair (’99), Entrepreneur. Mary Hall Pope (’78), Commercial Pilot, will be inducted at a later date to be determined.

The Cochise College Hall of Fame seeks to honor those who have positively advanced the college’s legacy after being part of the Cochise College community or left a legacy that made a significant impact on the institution and/or its students. Perhaps it is someone who is or was a positive mentor; whose actions make him or her more than an alumnus, employee or ambassador; whose volunteer or financial contributions significantly impacted the institution; whose ideology, values, or example provided solid foundation for others to follow; or whose former students continue to seek their advice.

Community leaders and former students and employees may be nominated as individuals or as a group, team or family.

Nominators may submit the PDF Nomination Form, which includes submission information, or use the embedded form below.

Initial review of Hall of Fame nominations will begin March 15, 2019. The final nomination deadline is June 30, 2019.

Complete nominations include:

  • Certificate or degree earned with approximate date/s of attendance, year/s of service, or date/description of contribution
  • Summary of professional background
  • Summary of community service, honors and awards (1,000 words, to include public recognitions of the nominee, if relevant)

Self-nominations and nominations of current Cochise College employees will not be accepted.
