Cochise College inducted a college founder and two alumni into the Hall of Fame on Nov. 9, 2019. Dr. William Harwood, second Cochise College president; Javier “Shorty” Fimbres (’77), 2015 Carol Huddleston Volunteer of the Year; and David LaClair (’99), entrepreneur. Commercial pilot Mary Hall Pope (’78) will be inducted at a later date.
The Cochise College Hall of Fame seeks to honor those who have positively advanced the college’s legacy after being part of the Cochise College community or left a legacy that made a significant impact on the institution and/or its students.
Community leaders and former students and employees may be nominated as individuals or as a group, team or family.

The final nomination deadline is May 15, 2020.
Complete nominations include:
- Certificate or degree earned with approximate date/s of attendance, year/s of service, or date/description of contribution
- Summary of professional background
- Summary of community service, honors and awards (1,000 words, to include public recognitions of the nominee, if relevant)
Self-nominations and nominations of current Cochise College employees will not be accepted.
