College celebrates Bugen Hall grand opening

Article

On Jan. 7, Cochise College held the grand opening of Bugen Hall, the newest addition to its Sierra Vista Campus. The event celebrated the completion of the residence hall that aims to enhance student life and provide on-campus housing for up to 45 students at the Sierra Vista Campus.

Bugen Hall, named in honor of George C. Bugen, features private rooms with en-suite bathrooms, ensuring students enjoy both comfort and privacy. The facility also includes shared common living spaces designed to foster a sense of community among residents.

Eligibility for housing at Bugen Hall is open to full-time students enrolled in at least 12 credits per semester. The residence hall’s amenities and convenient location on campus provide students with the opportunity to focus on their studies while building connections with faculty, staff and students.

The grand opening event featured a ribbon-cutting ceremony and tours of the facility, giving attendees an up-close look at the accommodations. College officials, community members, and students gathered to celebrate the occasion, which highlighted the importance of accessible and high-quality student housing.

Video highlights of the event and a time-lapse video of Bugen Hall's construction can be viewed on the Cochise College YouTube Channel.
