Preparing for graduation: What students need to know

Article

Cochise College recognizes that graduation is an incredible accomplishment of your hard work and dedication. Students completing their degree or certificate in Spring 2025 should stay informed about the necessary steps to graduate and participate in the Commencement Ceremony.

Meet with an Advisor
Students should schedule an appointment with an academic advisor to review graduation requirements and confirm they are on track to complete their program. Advisors can assist with course planning, degree audits, and the application process. To schedule an appointment, email advising@cochise.edu or call (520) 515-5483 in Sierra Vista or (520) 417-4038 in Douglas.

Apply for Graduation
All students planning to graduate must submit a graduation application. In order to have your name printed in the Commencement program, graduates must apply for graduation by April 1, 2025. Applying ensures that degrees or certificates are properly awarded and that students receive important graduation details.

Participate in Commencement
Students who are within 12 or fewer credits of completing their degree may participate in the Commencement Ceremony. This event celebrates the achievements of graduates and provides an opportunity to recognize their academic success.

For more information on graduation requirements and the application process, email graduating@cochise.edu or call (520) 515-3687.
