Cochise Newsroom
The Center for Lifelong Learning at Cochise College will offer a five-day Project Management Professional (PMP)® Certification Bootcamp on August 25-29 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the college’s Downtown Center in Sierra Vista. Orientation and registration open on July 1.
The orientation is strongly encouraged. Join us on July 1 from 5 to 6 p.m. at the Cochise College Downtown Center, Room G106, located at 2600 E. Wilcox Drive in Sierra Vista, to learn more about the PMP Certification Bootcamp and how to get started.
The course fulfills the 35-hour education requirement needed to qualify for the PMP exam, one of the most respected certifications in the field. Participants will begin by attending a mandatory orientation, where they will register, receive course materials, and start working independently on the required content. The program includes ongoing instructor support and a virtual class check-in via Zoom.
“The PMP certification is widely regarded as the gold standard in project management across industries, including business, healthcare, education, and nonprofit sectors,” said Ana Smith, director of the Center for Lifelong Learning. “While the course is not industry-specific, it is ideal for current project managers, team leads, and professionals aiming for leadership roles in any field.”
Taught by an experienced instructor, the $1,995 course includes in-person training with one Zoom check-in, access to study resources, and a certificate of completion from Cochise College. The fee does not cover the cost of the PMP exam.
“We were asked to bring this opportunity to Cochise County, and we’re excited to offer training that prepares individuals for the globally recognized PMP certification,” added Smith. “PMP-certified professionals report earning up to 33% more than their non-certified counterparts. This course is not only academic- it’s professional development and a career accelerator.”
