Cochise College will host Logan Phillips, a Tucson-based poet and educator on Thursday, Feb. 19 for an author talk and multimedia craft talk that explores poetry, essays, photography, archival materials and typography.
Phillips will begin the day with a morning author talk at the Douglas Campus, then lead an afternoon multimedia craft talk at the Sierra Vista Campus.
At the Douglas Campus, Phillips will greet students and community members from 9:15 to 10:15 a.m. in the Student Union Community Room.
In the afternoon, he will lead the craft talk from 3 - 4 p.m. at the Sierra Vista Campus, in the Human Resources Building, room 303.
Phillips will discuss how a writer can engage with images and how a visual artist can leverage writing. His discussion will draw on his hybrid memoir, which mixes literary forms with visual and design elements.
Both events are free and open to the public.
