Residential Construction Program

Build your future and improve someone’s life at Cochise!

Cochise College has partnered with Sierra Vista Habitat for Humanity and the city of Sierra Vista with a unique opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience and skills while giving back to their community. The one-year residential construction certificate program offers students a socially conscious experiential learning opportunity that will prepare them for a career in the building construction industry. Students will be involved in all facets of home construction.

Under the direction of the program’s faculty coordinator, students will be guided through all stages of the program process to include concrete, framing, millwork, roofing, exterior finishing, flooring, blueprint reading and compliance with building codes.

This program wouldn’t be possible without donations from our wonderful community. The Sierra Vista Area Habitat for Humanity is currently holding a buy-a-brick fundraiser to support this build. A brick purchase will go directly to the build for this project in Fry Town near Tacoma St. and 4th St. To learn more, or contribute your time, materials or funding, please visit
