Cochise College welcomes Larry Redhouse Jazz Trio
Cochise College is excited to host the Larry Redhouse Jazz Trio. The jazz concert celebrates Native American Heritage Month. Larry Redhouse, a member of the Navajo Nation, a jazz pianist, composer and band leader, will perform at Cochise College on Thursday, Nov. 30, at both campuses.
Accompanying Larry Redhouse in this special concert are Gil Rodriguez on drums and Ed Friedland on acoustic and electric basses. Together, the Trio promises to deliver a performance that transcends musical boundaries and pays homage to jazz and Native American heritage.
The concert is FREE, and the public is welcome to attend. Performances at both campuses are scheduled as follows:

Sierra Vista Campus:
6 to 7 p.m.

Larry Redhouse’s musical experience has taken him from local performances at the college to stages across the nation and around the globe. Notable among his appearances are performances at the Grenoble Jazz Festival in Grenoble, France, The Kennedy Center Jazz Club, and The Smithsonian Museum for the American Indian in Washington, D.C.
Redhouse has also had the privilege of opening for Chick Corea, Terrance Blanchard, Donald Harrison, and Rick Braun. In addition to his musical talents, Larry Redhouse is a Northern Traditional Dancer, skilled in playing the Cedar Flute and actively involved in Native American Cultural Events.
Larry Redhouse has released four self-produced albums, including “Naomi’s Dance,” “Live at the Westward Look,” “Spirit Progression,” and “The Great Mystery.”
