Community Survey
Cochise College surveys the county community in an annual survey that is usually distributed in the fall. The goal of the surveys is to gather information from community members and our constituents to assist in our planning efforts and assess the community’s perception of Cochise College.


2024 Community Survey
The last community survey was held March 1 - December 5, 2024. It was distributed to the community in press releases, Cochise College social media, Cochise College website, through community partners’ email distributions and at events. The goal of the survey was to gather information programming needs of the community. Information will be be used by colege staff in future decision-making.
2020 Community Survey
The last community survey was held September 7-September 30, 2020. It was distributed to the community in digital and print newspapers, press releases, Cochise College social media, Cochise College website, through community partners’ email distributions and was sent direct mail as a postcard to rural zip codes. The goal of the survey was to gather information about how much Cochise County values attaining a college degree or certificate and to assess the community’s perception of Cochise College.

Value of Higher Education
74% state it is easier to be successful with a college degree.
65.5% stated that they agree that pursuing a college education is a priority in their household.
67.9% stated that they agree that a college degree earns respect.
Relations With the Community
Perception of Cochise College and its relations with the community
71.8% of participants agree that Cochise College partners effectively with the community.
81.3% of participants agree that Cochise College has a positive image in the community.
65.6% agree that Cochise College is responsive to the needs of the community.
20.9% neither agreed or disagreed with this statement.
87.5% agree that Cochise College is beneficial to the community.
Based on the results of this feedback the college will produce a ‘Year in Review‘ to provide an additional avenue of information on the accomplishments of the college that year. This publication will be distributed to community members throughout the county and beyond.

54.8 %stated that Cochise College puts students first.
However, 37.6% neither agreed or disagreed.
66.7%stated the college helps prepare students to transfer to 4-year universities.
However, 27.5% neither agreed or disagreed.
Based on the results of this feedback the college will increase the opportunity for our students to share their stories to the community of the college’s impact on their lives.
Implement more transfer information into our messaging about the college so the community knows how the college prepares students to transfer to a 4-year university.
