Welcome to Cochise College

New Student Orientation programs are designed to provide you with information, resources, tools and tips to help you and your family make a successful transition to college life. Attending orientation will help you be better prepared for your first semester. At orientation you will also be able to connect with key faculty and staff members, become familiar with your campus and learn about all of the many resources, opportunities and support networks available at Cochise College.

Orientation

New Student Orientation is an essential part of your college experience and provides a foundation for success.

This exciting, interactive one-day experience will help you get acclimated to Cochise College and show you the resources and tools essential for your college career. During your orientation experience, you will:

  •  Learn about academic expectations
  •  Meet new and current students
  •  Explore ways to get involved at Cochise
  •  Learn about the college’s services and resources
  •  Take a campus tour

Pre-Orientation Registration

All newly admitted freshmen are eligible to register for New Student Orientation. If you have not applied to be a Cochise College student already, apply here on our application page Once you are admitted and ready for course registration proceed to Step One.

Registration can be done on my.cochise.edu or with an advisor during a scheduled appointment. To schedule an appointment with your academic advisor, email sdcclerk@cochise.edu or call (520)515-5483. Orientation programs are specific to campus. Sessions fill up fast, so be sure to sign up soon.

Cochise College experience begins here. New Student Orientation offers the tools and information you need to kick-start your college career. Come prepared and ready to meet with key faculty and staff, learn about university resources and student clubs, meet classmates and much more.

Orientation Day Check-In

Review your orientation confirmation email, sent to your student email account, for specific times and locations. Orientation is a one-day, 3 hour, program and check-in begins 30 minutes prior.

Tips for a Succesful Orientation Day

Directions and Parking

Allow yourself plenty of time to travel to your orientation destination. Print parking and directions information for your program location. Orientations for both the Sierra Vista Campus and Douglas Campus will be held in the Student Union.

What to Wear

Wear comfortable shoes and clothes. You may want to bring a light sweater for some of the chilly, climate-controlled rooms used during orientation and a water bottle to stay hydrated.

ID. You are required to show identification at check-in (Cochise College ID).
